8 Feb 2012 | Trett Membership of Middle East Dispute Resolution Institutions

Jeremy Sutcliffe, Senior Associate Director with Trett Abu Dhabi, has achieved panel membership of both the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, as well as of the London Court of International Arbitration, which is the appointing authority for disputes referred through Dubai International Financial Centre.

Both Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) are autonomous dispute resolution institutions, providing facilities throughout the United Arab Emirates, for conducting arbitration as a means to settle commercial disputes.  In order to achieve membership of the panels, Jeremy had to demonstrate his experience both in arbitration and in dispute resolution in general, both in the UK and internationally.  Before relocating to the Middle East in early 2010, Jeremy had already acted as Adjudicator in the UK under the Housing Grants, Construction & Regeneration Act 1996, on more than 160 occasions.
